model get-together extension week in Bezmiechowa

Sunday to Sunday)

Bezmiechowa
is a small village located in the Southeastern part of
Poland at the foothills of the Bieszczady Mountains. It is
a beautiful area, and, besides flying model airplanes or
gliders, you can undertake interesting side trips or go for
a swim in the nearby man-made Solina Lake.

As in 2006-20011,
also this year we are setting up a week-long flying event in
Bezmiechowa. This area is a world-renown “Mecca” for glider pilots.
Once again we would like to meet in this larger setting. Together,
we can either glide down the slope or in towing. This is not going
to be an organized event but, rather, a simple get-together of
friends. On top of the Kamionka Mountain, Rzeszow Polytechnic built
a modern AOS Hotel offering approximately 50 beds in two- or
multi-person rooms (each room has a separate bathroom). Additional
lodging accommodations are available at the “Skrzydła”
Inn run by our Picnic colleague, Cezary Zdrojkowki, or in the nearby
agro-tourist
facility.

Due to
limited lodging, all reservations will be “centralized” and
channeled through the owner of this web site.
You can go to Bezmiechowa either
directly after the Picnic on Sunday, July 08, or on Monday
morning. The get-together in Bezmiechowa ends on Sunday,
July 15. Those interested in this flying event need to
sign-up and put their names on the reservations list. We
now require a sign up pre-payment fee of 200.00 PLN per
person. This fee will be either credited toward the
participant’s lodging expenses or returned at the event in
Bezmiechowa. The fee must be paid by June 4, directed to
our colleague Cezary Zdrojkowki’s account (the number of the
account will be provided with the sign up confirmation
e-mail). Those who do not show up in Bezmiechowa will
forfeit the pre-payment fee. Meals are provided either at
the Hotel or arranged by the participants themselves. The
meeting in Bezmiechowa is only available to the Picnic
participants! In the event additional spaces become
available, we will accept registration after June 10 from
colleagues not participating in the Picnic. |
