Picnic Invitation
We are
inviting RC modelers and all others to the 10th Year
Anniversary International Flying Model Picnic, organized at
the airfield of the renowned Mountain Glider School, “Zar”.
For years, these Picnics have been the largest meeting
events for RC modelers in Poland.
The
beautiful airfield, the very hospitable Glider School,
excellent sleeping accommodations, technical support, and
lovely scenery, make the area perfect for the Picnic and an
exquisite holiday destination place for an entire family.

from hotel
to start
A number of participants have been coming with their families
to the Picnic for many years, making this event and the
Bezmiechowa area part of their extended vacation. Before
the Picnic, you can fly in a glider or swim in one of many
local lakes. For those interested in slope soaring, the
area provides many places allowing flights in all wind
directions.
This region of Poland is a center for the sport aircraft
production (for example, SZD 56 Diana and MDM 1 FOX). Approximately 90 km
from
Żar, in Gliwice, is located the
Vintage Club that houses several unique gliders. Not
far away is Krakow with its magnificent Aviation Museum
containing world unique exhibits. One can take day trips to
visit the historical salt mine in Wieliczka or
sight-see
Polish Jurassic Highland a picturesque geological rock
formation and the site of many historical man-made
structures.

The Picnic is
going to take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from July 16

The airfield

Those wanting to display their models in the Show are asked to fill
out appropriate forms. In the Show may participate interesting

dismantled since they can safely be stored overnight in a locked
hangar.
We are expecting
fascinating show flights!
Sleeping
arrangements are your own responsibility. Lodging is available at
the Glider School Hotel, or you may use your own tents, campers, and
recreational vehicles. Additional sleeping accommodations are
